The emergence of COVID-19 has posed challenges for healthcare professionals to quickly diagnose and provide medical care to patients. Currently, an intensive study of the clinical and epidemiological characteristics of the disease, the development of new means of its prevention and treatment continues.
The ninth version of the document contains a number of important changes, including those related to diagnostics, routing of patients with COVID-19 and the organization of outpatient treatment.
The recommendations, in particular, include new treatment regimens that make it possible to effectively treat on an outpatient basis not only patients with a mild course of coronavirus infection, but also adult patients with moderate severity without risk factors.
Separately, recommendations are given on the organization of follow-up care for patients on the mend outside of specialized COVID hospitals. At the same time, it is envisaged that in case of discharge for outpatient follow-up care, the patient should be provided with daily medical supervision, including remote monitoring.
